About
Born in Toulouse, I live and work in Rennes (France). After studying and working in the field of geography and urbanism, I am interested in new forms of representation of space.
Since 2012, I combine my geographical knowledge and my graphic design skills (digital and traditional).
On the one hand, I accompany simulation professionals in their research and development projects in transportation and urban planning. I design the virtual environments that host the simulator tests. My work focuses on built environments as well as on project composition.
On the other hand, I work on commission as an illustrator. Drawing imaginary environments has been a passion of mine since childhood. This subject extends my love for urbanism and architecture. That’s why I always enjoy working with creative authors to bring to life the landscapes they have in mind. I dedicate myself to handmade creations with “traditional” techniques: ink, watercolor and paint.
Finally, I work with students or professionals in training and schools.
Testimonials
“Bastien is not only an incredibly talented illustrator and artist, but also a true joy to work with! He is always open to collaboration and has a real talent for understanding the client’s vision. His willingness and ability to deliver above and beyond in his illustrations is outstanding. I would absolutely recommend Bastien as an illustrator and look forward to using his services again in the future! 10/10.”
Matt Baigent (Creator of the SinS IP)
“I contacted Bastien after discovering on the web one of his very nice illustrations. I was looking for an illustrator for a horrific Science-Fiction role-playing game. And I discovered an excellent professional with whom it is a real pleasure to work.
Yann “GCM” Morval (Cucur Prod)
Bastien brought a lot to the project. He was able to offer me all kinds of ideas, examples, tools, concepts, to make it progress and give it a nice graphic patina. The meetings were always intelligent, constructive and enriching. Bastien understands very well what is expected, asked, and knows how to bring the necessary elements to develop a precise artistic universe. More of that, he takes pleasure in what he does and does not hesitate to multiply techniques to create on paper (or screen) a pure visual desire.
I recommend him 100%.”
